If you want to, shoot me a PM and we can figure something out.

I appreciate it. I'll let you know when the compressor arrives what I'm going to do.

On a side note the Tundra sold today. So I'm an 80 DD now!

Roll tide! I miss DDing the 80, but the Honda is much easier on the wallet.

unless I can find a shop to evac the system and recharge for around $60. QUOTE]

If you do let me know where.

My Ac went out the day after I gave you a ride home :hmm:.

If he ends up getting the evac / recharge stuff and needs to use my compressor, you guys are both welcome to have an AC recharge party at my house one weekend.

Not letting him ride in my truck though. That's some bad A/C :skull:voodoo:skull: in the AL summer heat. ;)

Apparently I kill AC.

Better not tell OJ might mean another white Bronco ride

Haha...i was just thinking about seeing a white bronco with a tag that said "juicing" on the back when I was in Texas two years ago haha

My new compressor is waiting on me at home. As soon as I get there I'm going to install it and go to the Express Oil by the house and see if I can't work a deal. Hopefully this one I won't kill.

Well I need a new condenser, another expansion valve, flush the lines, new drier, and flush evap core. Apparently my system has so much crud in it the whole thing will happen again unless I spend more money.

So now I can help people replace mechanical stuff or do AC work. This is fun...

Take care of your rigs. This is what dust and dirt due to components.

Well I have removed the drier, condenser, evaporator, and compressor. I have sprayed a bleach solution on the evap core since it smelled like cat pee and I'm flushing the condenser and evap core tomorrow. I have essentially disassembled the whole AC of an 80 now.

That's a pretty expensive work bench you got there.

I suppose it is. But it is great as a cooler too oddly enough. It was the nearest thing I had around that was off the concrete.

I hear ya you can't hide money

I wish. That Yeti was purchased with a gift card to H&H. It's a solid investment is what I tell myself and my wife.

Well I have flushed the evaporator core, all the lines, and replaced the expansion valve. I have ordered a new condenser and now it's a waiting game.

Mr. President if you need help on your AC I'll be glad to lend a hand Saturday since I'm pretty fresh on how to fix it.

I will be in bham Saturday if you want me to bring my gauge (it came from autozone to be used wth can refrigerant) but I'll gladly lend it out.

I would but I'm going to break down and take it somewhere to have it vacuumed down and recharged correctly.
