Sweet score! An 8274!!!

I serviced mine first of the year. The motor was frozen up so I broke it loose by using some electrical cleaner from Advance, let it soak in that, then coated it in dielectric grease. Also changed the oil and inspected the gears.

Does yours work? Sometimes the solenoids go bad...

NICE score tommy. Karma smiled upon you today.

yes that's the one adam.
how do i change the oil? and it will not go in sometimes is that the solinod(sp) or something in the remote?

If it is set up like mine was there is not an easy way to drain the oil - basically take the unit apart into two halves, flip upside down and drain, then refill. I think you are supposed to use 30 ND oil - I'll check. I have a bottle in my garage I bought just for that.

If you mean "it won't go in" by it won't engage it might be a solenoid, or bad connection, I dunno. I believe the solenoids are one of the first things people change when they rebuild these.
