Hey guys,

I cant say enough how awesome this forum is. I bought my 99 LC just about a month ago iwht 148k miles and Ive been loving it ever since. Ive been wanting to grab an LX470 for a bit of time now (probably about 3-4 years) and when this came up I had to grab it. A buddy's dad was selling it and it had everything I wanted (factory locker / rear air; and most important toyota service history) About after a week of ownership I went ahead and did it because whenever I buy a car I want to make sure it was done/done right. Went ahead and did front and rear brakes; brake fluid flush, transmission flush, coolant flush with water pump, timing belt and tensioner, power steering fluid, front, rear and transfer-case fluid flush; filters and serpentine belt. I have scheduled to replace all four O2 sensors (gas mileage is killing me; ive noticed it going down). Just wanted to say I love this truck and I cant wait to get a lift and get some meatier tires!!

here are some pics

Some of the guys on here have PM'd me about my screen name and yes im one of the moderators from ClubLexus

here are a few of the other cars I still drive:

2004 LS430 (full junction produce kit with weds kranze)

and my latest just picked her up June 7th; My 2013 Lexus GS350 F-sport!

I have the black one in the pictures!

thanks for checking my thread out!

Hi David,

Nice LC you got there.

I found this link from Club Lexus. I can't wait until I get a LC. By the way, I have never taken my LX 470 on a dirt road. I don't even know how to engage my 4-wheel drive. I really want to try once I am back in Texas.

It's full time 4wd :) if you are offroad you push the center diff lock button which looks like this

OP, nice cruiser! A worthy vehicle to add to the stable.

Congrats on the purchase. I am on the Club Lexus forum as well. Not nearly the participation as you will find on here. Seems like the Lexus folks don't work on their cars nearly as much.

Nice 100 series and welcome to IH8MUD :flipoff2:

I have to say the Land Cruiser and the LS are two of the most well made vehicles on the planet. :grinpimp:

excellent job on the baseline PM, only things i would add for a complete baseline are cleaning the MAF and throttle body (replace the air filter while you are in there), and lubing the drivelines. the rear slip yoke needs more frequent application, when you begin to notice a thunk. servicing the front wheel bearings and axle bushing would be a sane thing as well (just because you are obviously thorough)

thanks for the heads up and kind words from everyone! again this is just such an awesome forum!!

I agree ;)

update for everyone on here, couple of days ago I called slee and spoke to christo.. lift is on the way!!

sweet ride, grats on purchase. A lift was the first mod on my 100, money well spent IMO. Enjoy!

With all those purchases, did you win the lottery or someone die??

Seriously, love the color, River Rock Mica Green. My wife and I have exactly the same color (both are 98 LC's). Her's has the dark/light gray interior and mine is tan/brown.

I do the same with all my new-used cars: give them a full service. That way I know when they really need to be serviced.

BTW: Welcome!

Another update for everyone; just picked up a set of wheels from dustin over at FN wheels. Grabbed a set of their Weds Adventure series... so stoked to throw em on as well as the lift. I cant wait to put all of this together!!

Which color did you get?

Grabbed a set of the flat black, but im not sure if it will flow correctly. If they dont ill get em re-finished. Im hoping to have everything done and on the car by next weekend. still waiting on the tires.

Congrats! Can't wait to see more pictures, especially wtih the black wheels

Nice! the black will look sick. Old Spoon sports/slipstream style.

I ordered the optional center caps from Dustin and put those on last week. Definately cleans up the look.

You go with a 295?
