i made my seat mounts a separate piece from the cage most make it all one piece. i can basically put my seat all the way back til it hits the wheel well.

i made my seat mounts a separate piece from the cage most make it all one piece. i can basically put my seat all the way back til it hits the wheel well.
I like it. I am pretty sure I will do the same thing. I need to get my seats then mock it all up. I also like the rear quarters you bolted on. Or the look of the bolted on quarters. I just ordered some bud built rear quarters and was going to get them welded on. I may bolt them on now. Thanks for the help.

It's been a while and i've had plenty of change of plans and different routes. So best thing i can do is tell you where i'm at now.
toyota axles are gone it's all chevy 1 ton now. 350 Tpi sm 465 Np 205 14 bolt and dana 60.
shackle reversed
4 link is done Need to order some ORI's after xmas of course.
rims and tires are gone going bigger 40's or 42's

Started to rebuild the 205. Got most of it done but the speedo drive gear is stripped out. gotta order another to button it up. Got the TTF clocking plate in. Didn't take to many pics cause there are tons of threads on rebuilding the 205. here are a few tho.

I also didn't like the puck style motor mounts, so i made these.
They are interlocked inside so they could never break apart. They are not touching inside. they are made of poly and have a hardness of shore 80A
I believe the other mounts i have for the tcase are shore 85A. So they should work good together.

A little 14 bolt brake conversion tech. After all the research i did on the conversion, I came to the conclusion I wanted the new studs. I didn't like how the factory studs fit in the 3/4 ton rotor. I know everyone just reuses them, but i just didn't like how it didn't seat in the rotor. In the brake swap thread by on the other site it gives the stud's part numbers they recommend. I believe that part should be edited, to not recommend those studs. This is how those fit compared to stock.
I didn't think the knurl protruded far enough. So I thought maybe taking the studs to a machine shop and having them turn them down a bit. Then i remembered i'm to cheap for that. What i ended up doing is just putting the studs in my drill press and using a grinder with a resin disc to turn them. I think they came out great. Here are some pics of all of it.

np 205 twin stick mod
I went to the pomona auto swap meet and picked up a few things i could use on this project. I picked up a 1/2" end mill and a cross slide drill press vise. It's not the most precise method of milling but neither was my Lathe.
so i used it to mill the selector shaft for the twin stick np 205. worked out pretty good i think.
I was going to send the shaft out to be modded, but again i realized i'm cheap. so i started by putting 2 straight lines across the shaft. This is so i don't cut to low and to measure. The tape worked perfect
slapped it all in my mill press.
and finished shaft.
