I bought this truck secondhand November 2009 with 12500km on the clock. When myself and a few members of our local LandCruiser club decided to go and do a decent trail, I decided it was time for a few modifications.:grinpimp:
PS, excuse me for posting pic for pic, not sure how to post lots in one post.

The way it looked when I purchased it..

Mods would include: Custom made front bumper to take 8274 Warn, load bin toolboxes, rear 50mm wheel spacers, drawer system to take supplies and clothing for atleast 3 days, platform where I could mount rooftop tent high lift jack and 15 litre water tank, rear bumper with sparewheel carrier, 6inch custom susp lift, 315 75 16 BFG muds.

When Toyota launched the 'new' shape pick up, they broadened the front diff by about 100mm. The narrow rear diff looks crappy, and I'm sure it doesn't track right, so I made 50mm alu spacers.

The standard transfer box skidplate is made out of thin steel, so I made one out of 4mm 3CR12.

The Front bumper. About 98% of all Cruiser owners here in SA fit ARB, or similar looking front bumpers. I wanted something unique. Took me a while to build it, but it was worth the time I spend on it, or atleast I think so..

Obviously I had to have storage place to store my supplies, food, clothing, camping chairs etc. So I build myself a 3 drawer system box that I mounted onto the bin.

Only the essentialls were taken. On this pic: The Drawer box, gas bottle, rear left corner: toolbox, centre: 40l Engel fridge/freezer, rear right corner: 40l water can. Note the pipe platform: mounted on it the 15l water tank, rooftop tent, high lift jack.

Nice.

This truck is crazy mate
10/10 very nice and decked out
What sort of lift kit it is to get 6"

Clint, it's my own custom setup. The standard OME setup aready lifted it 2", so on top of that I made 4" coil spacers, longer shackles and used 80 series long travel OME shocks.

Time to test it. Here in South Africa we have a small Country, Lesotho, lying in our borders. Lesotho is home to a famous 22km pass, Baboons Pass. I guess it is to us what Rubicon trail is to the guys in America.
The 79 worked well..
