My Fj62 won't start in park!?

I Don't Know what whe problem is. When i try to start my cruiser in park it won't krank, so i have to put it in nuetral to start it. easy fix?

Neutral saftey switch? There's a switch that grounds out the ignition if the gear selector is in neutral or park in most trucks... could be a problem with that?

There's a switch on the side of the tranny (I think the Driver's side) that controls this. Yours must be out of adjustment, or the contacts are cruddy and need cleaning.

Or you just need a new switch.

could be a shift linkage problem where the shifter is just not getting to the switch, you could search "fj62 shift linkage adjustment" or etc. and see if anyone has brought it up in the past.
