i started by modifying the original passenger mounts .

they actually went in really easy and are way more secure then the stocks were .

i also put in a jump seat from a cruiser with no role bar , im actually happyer with it then i thought i would , because i only run one seat its not a big deal that it stick out a little more .

the drivers is air ride , there is about a foot of travel in the seat . when you sit on it , it will go down a few inches , it is possible to drop it lower then the stock seat was or up all the way to the steering wheel with the push of a button . it rides like a cadilac now

when i get a different fuel tank i will put the other air ride unit in the passenger side for the girlfriend , until then she will put up with it .

put the old ammo box back in since it now fit again

i used directional n/c electric over air solenoid's to run the air horn , i have a bunch now for what ever silly air goodies i want to add .

i ran 3/8" air brake line to the horn its loud .

every 40 should have these .

even the thread pitch was the same as the last seat belts that were in there , they bolted up perfectly . no idea if the others were original or not .

everything was reinforced , the mounts for the drivers seat bolt through the floor into 1/4" x2" x12" flat bar . seat belts have limiter straps to the floor aswell as bolted to the seats just like in a factory volvo semi .

i also half built some new front shackles , there still not done but there not bent like the original units 3/8 plate was used with poly bushings .

installed a real heim joint to the track bar , the previous one installed by who ever owned it before was a junker . this one is 1" air craft grade rebuild-able joint , its mean .

put an actual adjuster on the idler for the accessory belt . and beefed up the mounts . its officially a 100% improvement .

This looks great! Those seats are top notch and well done. Do you have the heater hooked up to them too? I'm injured right now but whn I get better I wouldn't mind takin a look at your ride

there not heated i thought they were when i first got them but soon found out they weren't . i was actually surprised the truck was fully loaded i would of thought it would have heated seats .

any time , i only know one other person in town with a fj . you should definitely check it out .

they are out of a 07 volvo semi truck so to answer your question the germans do

Thats the information I needed. We have a great truck supplier locally, so I should be able to get them thanks!

those shackles are way cool. do the seats (seat, for now) have the option to continuously circulate air to prevent back pain or whatever?
