i'm confused with my tranny/tcase combo..
my car is -88 rj70 with 22r+g52+splitcase..
what options do i have to geardown my ride...
changing the r&p is not an option..

i drive lot on highway, and i dont want any more revs to highspeed driving..
and with extra crawlbox etc. the car would be way more versatile...
car is used to drive trophyraids and safaries in finland estonia and russia...

if i have understanded right those minitruck/pickup gears won't fit in my tcase..
that's the problem i have minitruck gearbox and late hj60 and hj61 l/c split tcase.

and to purchase any parts i have to order them overseas. and i can not return them if i order wrong parts. that's why i want to be sure what fits and what wont

but thanks anyway..

If you could get them to answer the phone, I think Marlin could configure a Toybox for you. That's would add a 2.3 or 4.7 reduction between your tranny and t-case. It would reduce your rear drive shaft length by about 10" though.

Excelent option if you only want reduce your low gear ..

it would be great to have both 1.9 + 4.7 reductions,
but i must take some measurements about that rear driveshaft.
It isn't too long from beginning.

I must email marlin.. and ask him do he have any solutions to my problem..

Odds are the driveshaft angle will be horrible with a toybox. Maybe you could find a stock 2.29 gearset for your t/case ? What tranny ratios do you have ?

You'll might be right with that driveshaft.

ratios are 1st 3,9 t/c 1,9 and r&p is 4,56 with 35 boggers.

if you have 35 boggers on it then 4.9 would work fine and those are an easy find...

4.88 R&P .. ?

I thought the R&P option don't affect really your crawl ratio .. more if you like how you run actually on High range.

Mi advice .. if you are loking for more crawl ratio .. go transfer.

In my case 37" ( usually with chains = heavy ) + 4.56 R&P + Marks underdrive set for my 87 Split case 19mm let me do some " good " thinks ..

Reaching with effort 70 Crawl Ratio ..

agian if you like how your truck run in high leave it as is .. and go for extra transfer .. for thos e situation in you like more " control "
