My opinion would be to build 2 story behind the house. With that topography, I'd have the living area behind the existing roof and you could get the view out the front.
That leaves room for a tall garage space behind the existing living space. out the back, stairs up to bedrooms, down to garage.

Here´s a couple more. the fire pit, which i would like to use more but the rainy season is on so there is not much to do about it.

The blue tarp over the washing area is temporary, i already bought a polycarbonate roof, the blue tarp will be used as cover for one of the cruisers.

there is still a lot of materials, wood, solid bricks, regular bricks, etc, ill try to use it all.

Thanks se2000, i think a tall garage can be great for parking the cruiser with a rack and a RTT.

With that hill and no water diversion methods, it looks like a heavy rain might fill your house. I would put some trenches on the front and side to divert the water before it reaches the house.

yes, there is a perimetral trench about 3 feet deep by 2 feet wide, filled with medium sized stones with a geotextile that wraps the stones. a layer of gravel on top. there was a heavy storm last night and so far the water flows around the house with no problem.

Hi mudders, i want to share my cabin project, something that i dreamed for years became reality and am really gratefull for it.

I had 4 walls made of brick with no roof to start with, so i decided to sell the 40 in order to pay for the construction.

Here´s some pictures of the process, hope you guys enjoy...

A wonderful looking place-looks like the foundation for the cabin is solid. I will tell you, though, it's not even close to being "right" without the FJ40 sitting in the driveway.

Thanks sggoat, there is still one of the forties, i sold the 1970, kept the 77!
I plan on keeping the 77 forty and the 80 series.
the forty is under the knife right now, some pics below...

Hi mudders, went on a exploring trip around the area and found this place all to myself; of course i crossed the river in the 80 my kind of playground

Hello mudders. I recently re-purchased the 1970 fj40, really happy to have it back at the cabin. The 77 is still in the shop. will be out soon.

Some update on the cabin. Started installing stone floor in the front porch. That will be my task for the weekend.
