No real progress last night.Just got it down off of the wood and did some lining up and measuring.

Its gonna be wide ;p

I had though in the beginning that I would move the frame back toget away from cutting into the rear doors but was unsure if the firewall would let me.With the rear axle centered in the wheelwell, this is what I have for firewall clearance. So I think I am going to move the frame back 3" and then move the front axle foreward 3".

Im going to make this gap aboot 1/2" and see where that puts everything else.Im also going to run the 55 tank because its not going to be in the way of anything.

With the rear axle centered, the body is almost even with the end of the frame.

Looks better not being on the Lincoln logs :D

The big test is gonna be when you mount the front clip.

Is the axle placement gonna line up with the clip so that the front of the motor leaves you room for a cooling system?

I did a bunch of measuring last night as far as where the radiator is going to end up and it looks like it will be fine.Even moving the frame back 3" like I want to,I dont think it will be an issue because I run an electric fan only.

Made a little more progress.Came to the conclusion that I was going to have to loose the rear bumper and notch the frame to get the body lower. It just sat too high with the rear of the body above the frame. Had to cut a hole for the trans and tcase also.

I would like to get the body a little lower but it would require moving a frame crossmember or a support member on the body and I dont want to do either so this is where it is going to sit :D

Not so hardcore ;p

This is pretty fun.I bead blasted these and shot them with Duplicolor silver.

I thought this was funky. They look like 55 turn signal bases. And after taking out the signals,I dont think this grill orgionally had lights in it.The holes were sorta chopped out.

Those turn signal lights are side marker lights that were on 40s, not sure if they were on 55s or not but they certainly weren't put in that location from the factory.

Primus f-ing rocks!

good show man I likie the progress (even if you are bastardizing a beautifull toyota with chevy gear:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:)
