So I would imagine that we all have stories like this, but i am very excited. we finally had some rain, and my local little mud pit filled up with 1 foot of mud and water.

My buddy has recently bought a jeep Rubicon lifted, 35, and all Bad - @ss jeep. He was playing in the mud, and just barely making it through. at one point he couldnt go any further. I was very hesitant to clime in with my 100. I was about to go get my 77 FJ40 when I decided to give it a shot.

I am AMAZED at how the computer works in this beauty. I owned the mud compared to the jeep. At the end of it, my buddy said..."I don't know how it happens, but the cruiser keep on winning."

I have no idea how the computer works either, but when it does! IT'S AWESOME!!!

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but a 100 is no match for a triple locked Rubi. They're just two completely different rigs. I have no idea what the specific situation was or skill level of either driver, but all things being equal I would fully expect a Rubicon to go more places than a 100.

There are two places where the Rubi won't go: reliably past 100k and 500 miles home in supreme comfort.

Couldn't say it better myself.

Yeah... I saw the subject line and figured you guys did a tug-o-war... about the only thing a 100 would beat a Rubi (on 35s!) off-road.

Don't get me wrong, I love the 100. Love driving 3 hours to the trail, 'wheeling and driving back home - with the AC on, coffee in hand... Soooo much nicer that doing that in my CJ (on 35s). And, if I were doing an expedition type trip, I'd rather the 100. And, if it's cold out. Or, if it's really hot out... and if I've got 2 or more people with me. And... ;)

Go play in the rocks and tell me how well that computer works compared to his lockers and coil sprung solid axles. :steer:
