Is anybody heading to the Washington DC/Northern VA area in the next couple weeks? I need to get from CLT to there to pick up a vehicle. Won't need any assistance or a ride back. I ideally don't want to fly for this trip. Happy to pay for fuel and food. I can arrange getting to wherever you're leaving from if it's logical to do so.

Wow, they've changed the schedule on northbound trains! Used to be that the train stopped in CLT around 2:30am if it was on time. Now it's 5:31am. Biggest issue is that it's never on time and always loses more time between here and there...I speak from experience. But I like the way they don't screen you or your baggage - even when departing from Union Station in DC.Train Tickets | North Carolina Amtrak Service
unfortunate and lame - I wanted to see how long it actually took via Amtrak to get there.....unsubscribing from this thread.
It only took three hours to get from Cary to charlotte last weekend. Not bad at all.
