I'm in need of the front mudflaps and also the piece that "integrates" the mudflap to the running boards. Mine has fender flares. I'm seeing several options on ebay but non that are for both flares and running boards. Some listings say "with flare" and some say "with running boards". Since I purchased my 80 they have been missing so I'm not sure what I need. Is there a such thing as a mudflap for running boards and flares? Pictures are the best I can provide at the moment

What year is yours? These are for the later years - '97 for sure but probably 95+

My LX 450 came without front flaps. I pondered going OEM, Then I found a pair of these generic ones for less than $15 each at Farm & Fleet. They are plain jane, but good, thick, and sturdy.
I used the mounting bolts/holes already present, then drilled the flaps as necessary. Obviously not the standard 80 running boards, these are Bowfin Cruisers step/sliders behind, but the gap is similar in size. Just leaving it alone seems to be the best solution.

Yep, I really don't really care that much I guess.
If you have running boards, you do not have front fender mudflap, just the piece that fills the gap between the flare and the board. If your rig did not come with running boards, then it came with a mudflap for the front fender.

That is exactly the answer I was looking for. So front mudflaps aren't an option if you have both flares and running boards. Do you happen to know the part # to the piece that fills the gap from the flare to the running board?
The guards simply have a cut-out for running boards - there is no additional piece. You either use the full mudguard, or the corner trim piece. That said, using mudguards when you also have running boards kinda makes them a moot point.
I didn't look into availability, but these are the OEM part numbers for the ones to use with running boards (as noted in post #2).

My truck was totaled, and I never removed the boards, so it still has the trim pieces. It's also a 97. They may have the part number printed on them, and I could check sometime in the next day or two. Doesn't guarantee availability, although I could probably sell you mine. I'll get back to you.

Not true. Mud flaps, flares came standard on all US models with a few "poverty pack" exceptions. I think all running boards were added at the port of entry or by the dealer. They would also remove the front mud flap and replace with one pictured above.

The mudflap/running board combination is something I have never seen on any rig here in Alaska (including of course rigs that have been brought up from the '48 which is actually a pretty high percentage). All of the rigs here that have/had running boards just had the short section that fills the gap. between the board and the fender .Obviously it is a thing But I am gonna venture it is not a common thing. To be honest is seems a bit pointless as the running board stops anything that the front mudflap would.

I was confused on if the part number was right, meaning I didn't know if he had the right part number but wrong part or or wrong number/wrong part haha. Haha I see your point on whether or not they even have a point. The rear of my 80 has the factory flaps so I want it to match and also I need the gap filled between the boards and the flares. Aside from looking bad, you wouldn't believe how many rocks are thrown through that small little gap!
You are focusing on the wrong number. The first number refers to left & right. Based on what I have, 604 is left, and 603 is right.
The second number refers to type (with or without running boards), which is what you need to look at. Ending in 11 refers to WITH running boards, while 21 refers to NO running boards, as far as I can tell.
So, assuming I have not done the math wrong, the part numbers I listed in the post you quoted are what you need to buy, in order to receive mud guards for use with running boards. That is:

I pulled my trim pieces today - unfortunately, no part number stamped. I did not clean them after removal (meaning they can be cleaned up). They are available if you want them.
