I got a Metal Tech tow hitch because my truck came with an aftermarket Curt hitch is rated for 5000lbs and the top hung down about an inch or so below the bumper. When I ordered it, MT was very deliberate in telling me that it was made specifically for their bumper so I knew there might be fitment issues going in. The issue is the bend radius of the hitch is larger then the almost square bottom edge of the Coastal Offroad bumper. This detail required some sort of spacer either on the bottom or the back and slotting of the bolt holes. I created an 1/8" spacer on the back to keep the ground clearance as high as possible and made it double as a hitch plug mount. If anyone knows the proper torque of the 6 hitch/bumper bolts, please share.

Please note that this is not a criticism for either company as neither the hitch nor the bumper were manufactured to work together. This is simply to share for others that might be interested.

Just a heads up that’s a terrible spot for your trailer plug. It will be ripped off if you offroad.
