I did a complete Piper Supercub rebuild a few years ago, I did everything including painting and it sure was nice to get it done.

hijack- Nice still have it? What year?

jumping back to original subject (kinda)

how did ya get the side decals off? i have tried everything!! the best i found was a heat gun and peel, but that was so slow i couldnt bare it!!

Funny story, an orange company I think it was sunkist, was buying a bunch of Sterling trucks from where I work, they of cousre had orange trucks, well the first one off the line, had terrible orange peel, the customer wanted to see there truck, and sterling was of cousre going to re paint it. They liked the orange peel so much they wanted it on every truck, not another one came off the line, with orange peel like that, they just couldn't create it even when they tried!

cheers

I would rather have orange peel then thin thin paint, not saying thinning is bad just muiltiple coats are definitaly nessary, at least when you have orange peel you know the paint is pretty thick.
