Does anybody have a 5 speed gearbox and a 3FE combo? Did your fuel mileage increase compared to the auto tranny?

I would imagine that there is an increase of a mile or two per gallon bacause the A440F robs lots of power from the 3FE.
I did not do the swap for MPG but to get rid of the damn slushbox.
Just do it and get big tires.

37 teeth on ring and 10 teeth on pinion do not equal 3.73. %$#$$@%!!!
fj60's, some fj40's and some fj55's have this combo, the other option being 37 ring vs 9 pinion equal to 4.11.
H55's do little if any for miles per gallon in FJ60 conversion (had 40,000 on mine) but drivability is night and day. search miles per gallon threads, but 17/18 is tops in a fj60 and typical is 13 mpg highway w/ smog installed.
fj62 has always been slightly less.
