Just got my hi lift in the 60” version as I don’t have a winch and wanted some form of self recovery device.
Did not see any easy way to store the jack and avoid the common complaints of rusting and grit in the mechanism, so went with a different tactic.
Took the foot and head off the jack and put the mechanism in a storage bin in my solo drawer. Placed the rail in the Yakima shovel mount attached to my extended Load Warrior rack. Also found that the tiny gap between the edge of the drawer and the sidewalk of the bins was perfect space for the jack handle. The red plastic jack base fit under the wing as well.
Sure it will take some time to assemble, but have often found that having a few minutes to think about a problem gives more more time to come up with a good solution.
