Participation thread start. Who here is signed up and attending this year's American Adventurist Moutain Rendezvous?

I'll officially be unemployed and plan on leaving early Friday morning the 19th to get there as soon as, if not before, Dave and conspiritors will let us in. I'll do my level best to 'stake out' an area for as many as I can or plan on being there.

We're signed up and planning to attend. I made the time off request and am waiting for the official schedule to come out, but it shouldn't be an issue. I asked for the 18th off as well in the attempt to get to bed early and be up there early. I'd like to get there and help with the stake out since we take up such a large foot print...although it'll be a tad smaller this year:cool:

I'm still waiting to hear back from our marketing guy, but hopefully we'll have more goodies to bring for the raffle:hillbilly:

Awesome Nathan. Let me know if you can leave early on the 18th. It'll be nice to have you there early to set up the condo instead of midnight! ;-)

I hear ya, it's much easier to do with sun light!

I'm signed up.
not sure what my plan is as far as arrival.
let me know if you need help with anything

I'm signed up......Yes, good if FJ Ranger pulls in before dark - still fun after dark: it's like an aircraft carrier battle group coming in! :-)

I'll plan to be up early again this year and try and reserve some space for our group like I did last year. Just gets a little tough as things fill up and you have to say 'no' and people eye the 5 acre spread behind ya......hehe although it did seem to work itself out just fine.

5 acres...lol:flipoff2:

Well yeah, I backed off from holding off the entire campground once I realized I was vastly outnumbered - and Brent (who was next closest) was still like an hour away......Muhahaha

That looks pretty cool, I will have to check my calendar

I've signed up. Not 100% sure though. Wife and kids may be cruising out with me this time.

This was, at least last year, more about car camping, a dutch oven cook-off, an awesome raffle (!), and a pot luck dinner than as any kind of wheeling event.

It's at a Boy Scout Camp in Big Bear, 25 feet off the pavement. The Mtn Rendzvous group has the place to ourselves, and while some went out wheeling on Sat am, many hung around camp for the day.......

Because it's a Boy Scout Camp, there are bathrooms too, so easier on the family for some. Many included significant others and plenty of kids of all ages.

So this is a good one to bring the family to and one where you can make of it pretty much whatever suits you.

I'm in. Arrival time is dependent on whether or not the kids come and can't leave until school is out on Fri. If no kids, I will be there early-ish.

Wine Sommelier neighbor that has a boat up in Big Bear mentioned to me last night that Saturday afternoon/evening that Big Bear Village has a wine tasting event. I googled it and tickets purchased in advance are $30 that included a raffle ticket and 12 tasting tickets. Neighbor said wines weren't super great, but that could be her exercised pallet talking. Don't know. It's a 30 mile drive from camp to the village and would mean missing the potluck/raffle in camp unless we cut out of there after a couple of hours to get back for the potluck/raffle in camp. May talk to she and her husband for more details, etc.

Dam, missed the deadline. I hope he has extras to give out , may not be the right size which I understand. Been busy week.
