Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Just found a 1-owner 2019 Lexus LX570 with 86k miles for $52k. Tennessee/Mississippi owned.

Any thing to look out for?

I’ve really been looking for a LC200 but haven’t had much luck with finding anything that’s not $10-20k over kbb market value.

That seems like a good price.

Aside from the usual (check maintenance records and rust), may want to make sure that AHC has been properly serviced. I think fluids need to be replaced regularly. LX owners will be able to say more.

I have a reservation to test drive a one owner 2021 black/black non-Heritage Edition with 15k miles selling for $87k at Carmax tomorrow.

That's way lower mileage than I would feel comfortable owning for long and racking up mileage on, but I feel like the price leaves me room to enjoy and pass along to someone else later on.

Plus purchasing the Carmax bumper-to-bumper 5 year/150k mile warranty would probably make it attractive for the next guy(?)

Curious if you all feel it's worth the test drive at that price.

Assuming it's clean (no rust, no accidents, etc.) that is a good deal in my opinion. That mileage they might be able to get $90k even for a non-HE. That's a new car.

Can't speak to the warranty as I'm not familiar.

Edit: For those interested, Carmax is showing a 21 White/Terra Base with 29k miles as "coming soon" to Naples, FL. 1 owner, no accidents. $87,000.

That's helpful, thanks. Looks like a California car its whole (brief) life and no accidents. Also well maintained as per the Toyota Owners portal.

Someone got a great deal on this ‘20 HE

Crazy auction. I was watching it and looked like a Saturday end time was a bad choice for the seller.

But I also suspected it may go for way under value because all of the non-original parts. Removing (and not including) the BBS wheels is a crime.

The Mad Max types typically don’t do as well.
Yep. I have said here before. 9 out of 10 times mods detract value from an HE. Especially the low mile ones. People want as close to new as possible. Just look at the previous auction there for the black one. Went for more than a spanking new 700OT, but that is another cat of bags I do not understand. Well, I do, but I don't.

Mods do not add value to any car. 200’s are weird. I’m shocked that most recent black HE went for what it did. Buyer already lost $50k on depreciation.

Been quietly observing the 200 market for a year now. Boy did I make a mistake waiting. Clearly the market has spoken in terms of 200 vs 250.

In a GX550 OT at the moment, but have been casually shopping for a 200 for a while. The GX has been great. Have come the realization, I miss a 200. Seems as if everyone is hanging on to their clean '16+ 200 as options in TX leave a lot to be desired.

None of us know what the future will bring. Waiting sometimes works but timing the market is a hell of hard thing to do without getting lucky.

Still, GX550 OT is not a bad consolation prize. Sharp and extremely capable truck. Some of the Dissent builds I'm seeing are so so nice.

For another data point, I recently bought a white/tan fully stock 2013 LC with 104k for $37,500 in NC from an individual.

Zero rust, no accidents, solid maintenance records including all new fluids, tires, brakes, and intake manifold gasket within the last 5k miles.

I immediately swapped the radiator for the new design and gave it a fresh oil change. Feel like I paid a reasonable price.

What's the market for CPO vehicles going to look like over the next year? My 22' GX460 didn't scratch the 200 itch and I miss having a LC, so trying to decide between waiting 12-24mo (fully paying off my current vehicle and selling it around 40k miles) versus sooner. Would be most interested in buying a vehicle with a solid manufacturer warranty (hence why I'm interested in CPO, and probably extending it), but I'm curious if inventory is going to get worse and worse.

As a data point, a certified 2020 heritage near me with 79,000 miles was just listed at $84K, which sounds high for such a high mileage vehicle: https://www.citytoyota.com/inventor...ition-4wd-4d-sport-utility-jtmcy7aj8l4086290/. Compared to a year ago the inventory looks a lot more scarce, so I'm wondering if people have thoughts on where inventory might go over the next year or two... My other option is just to save up and bank the extra cash for a private party vehicle, but I'm more interested in a recent/low-mileage/stock vehicle to avoid unnecessary trips to the shop.

Honestly I’d sell sooner…. Your GX going to lose more than a 200 will in that time.

Yeah that’s a reasonable point. The only holdups are having a slightly smaller vehicle to park (my off street parking situation is weird) and having to park my car under a tree. Maybe I just need to bite the bullet and see how good of financing I can arrange. Interest rates look better than when I was browsing a year ago, but wonder if TFS offers any rates on certified used vehicles better than what a local credit union can? I guess they don’t have much incentive to since demand is steady for the LC200…
