Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Almost pulled the trigger on this one but since it was local and was below 70K but decided I'm going to hold out for the right Blue Onyx/Terra 200 series to make the jump from my 2006. Looks like it's been sitting on the lot for a month now so I'm unsure why it hasn't sold: price/mileage difference, two-owner, Black/Black, or some combination of those factors?

In my opinion they are asking $10k+ too much

Fair enough opinion, my eyes are probably still used to the very peak of used vehicle pricing. Hopefully there’s still some further downward pressure left to give the next 6-12mo as some people jump to the GX550 from the 200 series as I’d love to pick one up for a reasonable price 🤣

We tried to buy a white over black 2016 last night. 70+ miles. Excellent shape. They were asking 59.9. Acted insulted and wouldn't even talk to me when I asked if they were willing to negotiate.
Not enough new Land Cruisers on the streets yet to scare the dealers into releasing their current LCs for reasonable prices. Still hoping that those PPP funds that blew up the luxury market are out there to be spent. Pricing on these is still irrational for a lot of sellers.

Hard to justify that one when this one is $10K cheaper (maybe not as clean?). https://www.acrivelli.com/used/Toyota/used/Toyota/2016-Toyota-Land+Cruiser-008317630a0e0a9459296824cca2d112.htm?utm_source=autotrader.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=autotrader_listings

Glad you posted this.
I thought he was referencing this one as it's been sitting at that lot for awhile now.

Why pay $60k when they can be had for 10k less.

A 2019 sold for $47k near me with roughly 130k miles. Rust belt area may be the difference but these vehicles stay clean if you spray them underneath regularly.

I felt this was decent. 2019 with 80k miles for $55k.

I am considering a grey 2016 with 92k aftermarket wheels and roof rack for 47500

Good price or too much ? Thanks

Good price, buy it if it checks out!

As an update to my post regarding the 2016 that we looked at...the sales guy stated (emphatically) "we will not move on the price"

Today they lowered the price 5K and it sold. Of course the salesman didn't bother to return my call this morning. I called as soon as I saw the new price listed.

It does suck. My wife loved it and we would have grabbed it at that price.
I just cannot explain dealer behavior, feels like it is all based upon emotion and oddly designed policy. Perks of high interest rates is carrying costs on the lot are way up so dealers aren’t going to want to (even be able to) have vehicles on the lots for a long time. But they’ll probably just flip back to the auctions to another dealer to avoid selling to public.

Unfortunately this is becoming way too normalized with a lot of dealerships. When we were looking, we had a similar experience. Originally priced at 47,xxx when I originally looked at it and after test driving and looking at everything, I offered them 45,000. They said the price is set in stone, two days later it dropped to 46,xxx and I called and they said they were keeping the price in the market value to stay competitive. Then asked if I was ready to buy at new price, so I again offered 45,000, they declined. I went back a third time after selling my 5th Gen 4Runner to make a deal, but the haze had worn off from my eyes and I saw a lot of things that turned me off from making a deal, walked away. I went back to look at the newer and higher priced one after the wife said she would help me pay for a newer year. I noticed the price on the older one dropped to 44,xxx and a salesman told another member on here that if it didn’t sell it was off to auction.

I feel like as a buyer we need to have a list of what we want/need/ etc. and have a basic understanding of vehicle service history, to be able to not make a mistake. Also, have a reasonable budget for what you want. I personally went to my max, but understood I was paying premium for closeness to my house (less than 5 miles), color combination, one owner, locally owned/ serviced, and pretty clean. I feel better afterwards seeing the prices on vehicles I feel are not as clean/ nice as mine, but sometimes it is a gamble and sometimes it saves to wait for the right deal.

Unfortunately, dealers will keep doing this, because people allow it to happen, by continuing to buy vehicles this way…

Sorry for the rant!

Just went through a VERY similar experience at a large OKC dealer on a 2016. Completely turned off and we walked.
Still sitting there a week later and now getting texts from the salesman..

They can keep it with the way they handled everything

What is a tastefully modded ( small lift 285 tired heritage wheels) 2016 115k miles. Blue over terra going for? One ding on the car fax. Nothing major?

I am debating on the grey one. This one just popped up and so much closer

Appreciate the assistance

Approach it like you are indifferent if you get it or not. Don't not get it because you are mad at them! They have your Land Cruiser, punishing them is indirectly punishing yourself.
