Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

This one popped up today and only a couple hours away from me. Good service history but how far off on price do you think it is? Tried to negotiate but they said since they just got it price is firm. He sent several photos interior and exterior look good.
You can but a 16+ for that price now...

Been in talks with the guy selling this one. What are people's opinions on the BP51 suspension? I read some people have had issues but most people say it's solid. Didn't really think I wanted a lifted 200 with aftermarket suspension but curious what y'all think.

Seems like a pretty solid deal for the miles

The issues they list seem like they'd add up quickly, hence the cheap price for the miles. Could be good if someone doesn't mind those issues.

I've heard great things about the BP51 personally. This one in particular seems overpriced though with the transfer case issue.

Turn key under 20k under 200k miles doesn’t seem to be occurring too frequently…

I agree the price reflects some light, non mechanical work needed. At a certain point you may need to adjust your expectations because I’m not sure what you want exists at the moment in this market.

To clarify, my expectation is not turn-key at these prices or miles, and agreed that you really don't see these cheaper early 200's in perfect condition. I do disagree that inop rear A/C and an electronic issue with climate keeping your settings are "light/non-mechanical." Since I can't do A/C work myself, would be dependent on a shop, and from my experience with multiple 100 series, quotes for fixing the less accessible rear AC system were astronomical. Just throwing general feedback that it's priced for a likely expensive issue is all.

Thoughts on pricing for these 2 units? There is a similar 2009 unit on Craigslist in Santa Cruz that seems to be better than the 2008 listed below for a similar price. Wondering what price point these 200 series should be at for the year/mileage. The 8 speed trans is so desirable though on the newer ones. Also a 2008 being a first year model of the 200, is that problematic in any way?

The Santa Cruz one is a North Dakota truck. They've had it for sale forever and are still asking too much.

That 08 is 6k to much

Picked up a LX570 over the weekend at Sewell Lexus in Dallas. My allocation for the GX550 overtrail was slated and when I went to go look at the new GX, I got distracted with a V8....

Helpful data points:
- 2021 LX570 Two row
- Luxury package, no HUD, no rear entertainment, Nightfall Mica on Parchment
- 41k miles and truck is L/Certified (2 years warranty after factory warranty and 2 years of free service)
- Truck previously belonged to Sales director - my sales guy made the mistake of telling me they'd had it on the lot for 83 days and were going to send to auction next week :p
- They originally offered it for sale @ $71k, I picked it up for $61k (MMR on it was $60.8k)

Feeling pretty good about the deal. Now onto adding carplay and replacing these awful 21" wheels...

That is a great spec - well done. But where are some photos?

Nice, Sewell is the best.

do you guys think this is a good price for a lx 570 2008?
maintenance records look good and well documented.

but $27,000 with 166,000 miles? i guess not too far off from what ive been seeing.

Thanks for the insight. I saw it had a Chevy dealership decal on it. Wonder if it was used by the GM or even as a loaner from time to time.

I've been in the market for a $20k-$30k unmodified LC200 and they are tough to find. I agree this one is definitely priced at a premium. Oh well, the search goes on.

The one at Miramar Motorsports has been for sale for a LONG, LONG time. Over the last few years, they've been grabbing any Toyota's they can find, 4Runners, Sequoias, Tacoma's, Tundra's etc.

They lift them, put a few other aftermarket parts on and flip them - looking for people that will use their financing at overinflated prices.

Yeah I'm familiar with their business model. They buy out the entire market and go nuts with a lift/wheels/awning and charge crazy prices. They rarely seem to offer/sell unmodified vehicles. The 2008 must be on the assembly line, wonder how long they will leave it stock before slapping on some cheap mods and jacking up the price to $40k. They have wrecked the entire San Diego market for Cruisers/4Runners/FJs/Tundras/etc. I'd like to see how their inventory does when buying slows down.

That 08 at Miramar is not too far off in my opinion. I would certainly pay a premium for a one-owner California truck like that.

Their prices are 10-15% high but from what I see are usually nice examples with great history, and they're well versed with Toyotas often giving them proper services like OE timing belt kits, AHC flush, etc. They're much less egregious than some other specialist dealers like King's Chariot in FL.

I have seen some of their "modified" trucks and the quality is not the greatest. I saw a blue LC100 (not modified yet) there last year and the telescopic steering motor wouldn't budge and the AC servo that switches the flow door settings also didn't work 100%. Also some minor things like a loose/unfitted passenger door trim. It came off of the door when I went to test the window switches on all 4 doors. Of course all of these things are to be expected when buying a 15+ year old vehicle, but their prices seemed kind of high so I wanted to check here. For their prices, I would hope that the small things are also looked at/fixed.
