Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

2008 Toyota Land Cruiser Base in Beaverton, OR | Portland Toyota Land Cruiser | Beaverton Toyota - https://www.beavertontoyota.com/used-Beaverton-2008-Toyota-Land+Cruiser-+-JTMHY05J684000652

Interested to see pics of this one at 360k.

I still haven't seen any public clean title listings transact below $15k or so with any mileage, so I view that as something of a floor. Makes a sub-200k truck in the mid-20's seem like a great bargain depreciation-wise. Also anecdotal evidence to me that the 200's are giving even more longevity than the 100's, seeing many in relatively good mechanical and cosmetic condition well in to the 300k range.

I have seen 5 under $15000. All under 300000 miles
2 from dealerships also

I’m curious on the searches you guys are using as well.

I love my ‘04 but I can’t help keeping an eye out for a 200. I see a couple 200’s out there under $20k at the moment. I use carfax, Autotrader, Craigslist, and CarGurus. I might have an addiction 😂

Just dropping a general reminder for all those searching how helpful the Toyota online service record portal can be!!

I'm sure you all know that by now...but it was massively helpful for me and may be worth mentioning for those sifting through a lot of units. Some dealers don't report to carfax and this ends up being a quick way to see how these were cared for. Lexus has the same thing.

At one point, I owned like a dozen land cruisers according to my Toyota service account :p

Augmenting some of the public retail data with wholesale. These are 3 cheapest buy it now’s on manheim at the moment. The 2nd is the last half dozen 08’ transactions. The “0.0” formatted score is the condition. Scale of 0-5. Rougher cars are certainly moving at very lower numbers — but I can’t say after the fact what the title/accident status is. The bottom line is they’re definitely trading pretty low but I’d imagine the “good” cheaper ones are still few and far between and move quickly. I’ll keep an eye on these, I would add there’s probably a dealer in your area who offers purchasing at auction for a small fee. Opens up your access greatly. You will be in a better position if you can be a cash buyer as well. Happy hunting!

Edit: 3rd pic is 08’ LX. Definitely suggests/confirms there’s a Lc tax 😜

Have tried it and like the idea, although when just browsing (like I do all the time) I like the Autotrader interface best to be able to save cars and searches. Cars.com is OK and sometimes returns some listings that aren't on Autotrader. Autotempest gets the most results, but is at the mercy of the seller's listing entering make/model in to the site correctly, otherwise gets missed.

This one popped up today and only a couple hours away from me. Good service history but how far off on price do you think it is? Tried to negotiate but they said since they just got it price is firm. He sent several photos interior and exterior look good.
