Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

How do we feel about a CPO 2018 LC with 50,600k miles priced at 79,881? Acquired through auction on 8/15. Dealer won't budge on price.
2019 LX in NJ with 36,000 - Certified for 69K. Very clean. Dealer is Route 10 Lexus…oops. Thought it read LX, not LC. LC seems to always price higher

They certainly will not drop like a rock, but I’ve been shopping for the last 6 months and I’ve observed prices clearly sloping downward.

We are in fact on the other side of the madness. Prices on 200s are selling for close to late-2019 prices again. Take a close look at how unsuccessful sellers are on this sub forum. The only one I’ve seen sold on this board in the last several weeks was that Magnetic Gray 2016 with 67k miles at $60k.

I wish them luck, but what you’re seeing are half motivated sellers taking a stab at and big return and nobody is biting.
Prices do seem to have normalized and I agree there isn’t a crash unless something unforeseen happens.

I have taken notice of the large number of 20/21’s on the market, Toyota just flipped their executive fleet with new Sequoia’s and some non Cruiser buyers who bought during the hype year got tired of outdated tech and traded for a Yukon, Escalade, Tahoe, etc.

However, I counted 8 sold rigs and almost that many WTB’s on the first 2 pages of the this sub forum, I bought another 200 ~3 weeks ago and I think every rig I seriously considered is now sold. I see this as good news, prices are fair and people are still buying, seems my Econ professor shared that phenomenon with me!

You’re in luck! The 10-year-old ones are already going for barely over half what you think they are. Guess they’ve already dropped to rock status. 😂
Not sure what your talking about theres basically a 10 year old cruiser for sale now on this forum for 52k and I’ll update my status to say 42k is still crazy for a 10 year old vehicle with 140,000 miles on it. Yall keep buying em though.

I realize you are new to the forum and likely Land Cruisers, so welcome!

I am confident Land Cruisers will continue to sell at fair market value.

A little advice, if you cite accurate data you will enjoy your experience here, maybe your research could benefit from a mean, median, mode, and outlier plotting?

Regardless there are Cruiser folks and non Cruiser folks, we accept that fact!

And that $52k 10 year old cruiser will probably sit for awhile at that price.

Do you even Land Cruiser bruh?

Yea, asking price doesn't equal sale price. I'm sure half of the Land Cruisers on this forum right now are listed for far more than what they're worth. That doesn't mean anyone is buying them. Pretty simple stuff that seems to be escaping the new guy. 🤷‍♂️

For reference there are websites like bringatrailer.com
You would get the notion that the amount of miles don't mean much when this vehicle is properly cared for.

Very interesting graph. Where within Edmunds do you access this type of info? I'm having a little difficulty finding this through their drop down menus. Thanks!
I just tried and it is no longer showing up. It was coming up at the end of the appraisal process on page with offer / costs.

For giggles, compare what I bought my 4 year old lx570 for in 2019. 2015 lx570, 53k miles, private party. Bought for $43k. 🤮

That’s a big price delta.

What is going to happen to cause the prices on Land Cruisers to drop like a rock?…………….Asking for a friend?
I'd say dropping $5k in 2 months could be described as "dropping like a rock" so its already happened, and so what is going to happen to cause whats already happening could be described as simply, "more of the same".

"A fair price is not what you say it is, or what I say it is, its what the market will bear."

Not true. There is not a 10 year old cruiser for sale right now. The year is 2022 and there was no 2012 model year LC.

They are now down to 77,800 lol. I told them I was a buyer at 75k. Playing the waiting game now.
Congrats on the new purchase!

Another data point. I bought the 2016 grey/terra with 65k miles listed in the classifieds for $65k. After shopping for ~6 months I felt like this was a fair price for both parties given the condition of the vehicle. Also wanted to lock in a loan before interest rates went up (2.59% for 60 mo at local credit union)

Yup, prices gone insane. Here is an interesting point of reference to support what you're saying for a few LC200 2015-2014 prices from 2018 and 2019 to today. Notice increased cost and increased mileage.

Anyone had any luck lately with a purchase?
