That’s my wife’s atlas at the top of calcite mine trail, complete graded now the whole way.

Although did discover a slot canyon I’ve never known about that’s an offshoot half way up the trail.

Damn, I thought the lure of wildflower photography opportunities was required pussification? I don’t seem to remember any wildflowers on Calcite Mine...

That's why they graded the road so the hydroseeder could get up there to plant. Also to provide Prius and Subaru access.

I was halfway up Calcite about 5 years ago when I got a deep hole that sent me teetering off camber and really freaked me out. I was alone and without a spotter, so I turned around and headed back. I do love that area.

Aghh... I hate seeing this. So many trails destroyed over the past 10-20 years out there. The amount of rigs out on a weekend these days are also out of control....
