More fj60 steering help needed (pics)

Hi there, i been playing with what i have and i think i have 2 choices, im looking into this coupler to join my fj60 shaft to GM one: Borgeson 313434 Borgeson Steel Steering Couplers
i'm almost sure the 3/4 DD should fit on the GM side, but not as much about the 3/4-36 diameter spline side fitting into the fj60 shaft...any toughts on this one? other option in to cut and weld both shafts on the wide side (i guess is about 1' ot 1 1/4).....i attached pics so you can see what im talking about.

BTW...i find in a FJ60 forum that i can use stock hoses if i use a saginaw pump from a mid 80's volvo, cause it have metric fittings......that's kinda awesome.3

you have a coupler at the firewall correct? can your existing slip shaft extend to the firewall coupler?
you can get borgeston to 60 box and borgeson firewall joint both to DD and new slip shaft from borgeson or figure out if you can use existing slip shaft to firewall. I wouldn't weld 2 shafts together for safety sake.

well....i have what's in the 2nd pic

you can get borgeston to 60 box and borgeson firewall joint both to DD and new slip shaft from borgeson or figure out if you can use existing slip shaft to firewall. I wouldn't weld 2 shafts together for safety sake.

how is callled the borgeson coupler to 60 box?
i guess may need to count splines?
it'll be a bit of a pain i guess.....
if i happen to weld both shaft's i'll take them to a machine shop to do the work.....but still dont like that option very much....

Not sure if you had clicked it and read or not..
the U-joint on your firewall? is the spline count the same as the steering shaft you have pictured?

Sorry haven't saw the link yesterday.....well.....i think im buying a coupler 3/4DD x 11/16 - 36. If it works (cross fingers) it'll save my sel a lot of touble.
