On the 5 hour drive home from buying the truck, I "developed" a coolant leak in the crank case. I don't know where the leak is, but I have verified that the oil cooler is good, had minimal leak down (1/2 PSI) during the cooling system pressure test, and I did a compression test with the following results for 1-2-3-4-5-6: 150-139-139-140-140-145.

No one wanted the motor as a whole after I pulled the head off and removed everything for my V8 swap, so I'm parting it out. Please let me know what you need and submit any offers on parts to jnegaard(at)hotmail.com. If you want the whole thing, please bring 4 cases of good beer and take it from my garage.

I replied to those who sent me emails and provided the requested pictures. So far the parts that have been requested are:
camshaft - Bob - shipped
conrods/pistons - Bob
rocker assy - Bob
oil cooler - Keif (Western Omelette) - shipped
thermostat housing - Keif (Western Omelette) - shipped
smog pump - Seth - shipped
very low mileage clutch/pressure plate/flywheel (PO said it was new right before I he sold it to me, and it looks it) - Erik (SLCFJ62)
dizzy - Devilman's Hand - shipped
coil/ingnitor - Devilman's Hand - shipped
alternator brackets/hardware - OrangeFJ45
starter - OrangeFJ45
side cover - OrangeFJ45

I pulled and have pictures of:
good working carb
radiator
intake/exhaust manifold


I've pretty much accepted all offers as given since they've been reasonable. I want this stuff gone, so please keep the emails coming.

The air rail has one broken "leg", and the only other thing I have available on your list is the intake/exhaust manifold. Send me an email with your offer and phone number, and I'll give you a call to make arrangements. I plan to be in Gilroy on Friday morning if you're serious. Thanks.

I've gotten some emails about parts off of my truck. In case it wasn't clear enough, I am NOT parting out my truck. Just the engine, and that is going to scrap soon after I get around to getting the parts for those who have requested parts thus far. If anyone else wants anything from this boat anchor, please let me know soon.

Looking for an EGR valve if in good shape,ship to 94565 if the radiator is not taken please let me know i'm interested.

The EGR valve is an EGR valve with 135k on it that passed smog right before I bought it. I still have the radiator. Make an offer including some gas money, and I'll meet you somewhere. I'll be in Santa Cruz tomorrow evening and will carry these parts with me for free if you want to come down. Send me an email, please.

It did have the stock carb and it ran flawlessly. Please send me an email with an offer for the linkages. This thing is going away soon...

Ok, I've updated the status in the post toward the top. I just got a call from a local fella who offered me a case of craft beer for what's left of the engine, so it's going away. Anyone who has already requested parts and not made payment or arrangements, please contact me soonest as I told him that there are some parts already on hold. If you don't make arrangements by the 15th, all offers are off the table.
