Fitted it up today (supposedly the new version) to make sure it all worked ok before we head out on our next trip. First impressions are.. Very easy to setup!, just slide the fitted section of 'tent' through the aluminum channel and your basically done. Would be cool if it had a screened in door, but hey.. it's still better than nothing and i can't see us spending to much time in it anyways... after all , it's for 'changing'.

Comes with some stakes so you can stake it down. Has 2 windows and some weird straps i need to figure out. All in all, i think it's a great product and we can't wait to try it on our next trip.

That is cool. I wonder if it can be made to fit the old style Mombasa?

2 problems with trying to attach it to the older style tent.. no guide track for it to slide into and fit.. and it wouldn't be nearly wide enough to cover the entire base of the platform. The old tent is way bigger.

If you can get around those 2 things by building a seem track.. and adding more fabric then you are good to go.

should be possible to buy extruded aluminum track. pretty standard stuff.

Dave, that's pretty damn cool.

Gives me ideas. I suppose I could drape a tarp around mine and stake the bottom (since I had the "old" model).
