We just got back from a New Years trip to Mojave National Preserve and surrounding areas. It was a great 4 days away. Our goal was to get used to the new Horizon setup.

Trip report here: The Adventure Duo: New Years in the Mojave Desert

How did all the new equipment work out? Thanks for the pics. When my rig grows up it wants to be just like yours. LOL.

THREE spares? Expecting tire issues?

Looks like a giant scope. For the worlds biggest rifle perhaps? :flipoff2:

Almost forgot, thanks for sharing the pics Dave. NICE sweater that Dixie is wearing! :flipoff2::flipoff2:

The trailer is a jeep lug pattern. I have a 3rd spare for the time being until i switch the trailer over to toyota lug pattern.

That's weird.. it was that way the whole time. It's called the Desert Megaphone. It's in the middle of no where. South of Mojave Road. You have to hike up to it. Nobody knows how it got there or why. Rumor has it that there is a dude that puts skins over each end and plays it like a drum.

Here's a shot from where we parked.

lol, she has a snow jacket too. She was happy to wear it since she was shivering.

SWEET! That is such an awesome setup! I look forward to times like that!

Was that one bottle of Korbel enough for New Years?

Great pics and looking forward to reading the report!

Yeah, I just had to rib you a little. When I took Tillie down for the 1000 in 2003 I had to get her a fleece jumpsuit thing :o:o becuase she gets so damn cold. I hate hate hate putting clothes on a dog but she was dying. Thankfully I haven't had to put her in one since. The only draw back to Bostons is they don't have much fur and almost none on their bellies. You add that and thier small mass and you get a cold doggie. The best is when I take her camping in winter and she climbs into my sleeping bag and sleeps with me (it is oversize). Nothing like having a 103* furnace in your bag when the temp drops. :D

It was enough to spray at my buddies :D

I don't usually drink champagne. Gives a nasty headache and a terrible headache. We celebrated with beer, wine and makers mark :grinpimp:

Very Nice pics. Did you take the trailer thru Watson Wash?

Now that's funny right there . . . I don't care who you are.
