Is this a big deal? When I wash the LC I get some moisture appearing for a few days on the inside of the drivers side headlight lens. Is this a easy fix or should I ignore it?

I've been ignoring mine for almost a year now. It really irritates my wife though. ;)

I was going to seal up the seam, but I'd have to pull the whole assembly and that's almost like work.

Even though there is obviously a bad seal, I would only see it as a problem if the moisture persists for more than a few days ( As long as it is a high pressure spray that is causing this, not a garden hose w/nozzle).

Of course, any MAJOR water build-up or prolonged moisture in the headlight can cause an ugly short , decrease the bulbs life, or worse yet..eat away at the reflective material inside the housing, but I see other Toyota models suffer from mild fogging all the time, and it doesnt seem to cause any real issues.

Wait till all moisture is gone and you have some nice hot dry weather. Then seal the seams with silicone caulk.

This has worked great for a nasty chip in my left headlight.

Sealed mine up today. Remove the grille, turn signal then the headlamp assembly. The seal was definately bad, looked like a really nontypical crappy assembly job. The seal is made of stay-gooey grey stuff, not bad enough to allow the two pieces to separate though. Cleaned it up around the seam and siliconed it.
