hey folks, I did a quick search but didn’t find much of anything for folks modding these. Plenty of people with pre 2016 LX’s but not many after. Is there not much aftermarket support? Really would love to get one.

Did you buy it with the intent of modding it? I can’t even find one 2016+ that has been modded with a new front bumper in all of google land.Following! I have a 16' LX and really really want to chop off this ugly front end and put a bumper on it. Anyone know of a fabricator in Colorado who would build or fit a bumpers to my rig?
Yes, it can and has,and should be done. I very nearly got an LX instead of LC and researched it wellDid you buy it with the intent of modding it? I can’t even find one 2016+ that has been modded with a new front bumper in all of google land.
This is ugly...Here is the one I have seen a few times online of one with an ARB.
If your in Denver, Slee if probably your best bet.

I think it looks pretty good. But lipstick on a Cylon/Predator is subjective beauty. This is ugly...
FYI please don’t attempt what the ACC guys did with the hidden winch mount. They bolted it directly to the aluminum crash bar that is meant to absorb energy and deform in a crash. It’s completely unsuitable for mounting a winch to it, and it shows they have a lack of understanding how the 200 (potentially any modern car with crash safety equipment) works.
What do you think of the wrangler JL as a platform? For the price of a used LX or LC you can get a new JL with tons of aftermarket support.Just in case it’s news for some...
-A lot of the problem with slower mod development on the 2016+ LX/LC has a lot to do with the smaller, higher headlights, the funky grill of the LX... and the LX’s AHC, which means extra tricks for sliders & suspension swaps, “lifts” etc.
ARB and TJM are both slooooooowly rolling out 2016+ LC compatible versions of their bull bars (as if TJM could be any slower than they’ve always been at supplying even the existing T13 in the US! Haha!Took 6 months to get mine and they weren’t a new product).
Those are for the LC & I’m not sure about whether the LX grill screws up those bumpers’ fitment if you alcan get ahold of one. Maybe someone here knows when folks might get 2016+ ARBs and atJM reasonably.
I got the impression from the head TJM USA guy (TJM USA headquarters 15 minute drive for me) that he did NOT expect to see updated version T13 front bumpers any time soon.
SLEE keeps up with TJM ordering better than most, so check there. Slee also recently posted that their own LX570 sliders have hit a recent production snag causing a delay/pause right now.
So...it’s sorta the Bermuda Triangle for front bumpers and sliders...especially for the LX.
Good news is independent fabricator offerings are growing finally with a small but good group of independent fabricators like @TRAIL TAILOR , RLC, and maybe(?) @benc also here on mud.Ask him. Hopefully BudBuilt will be in the bumper pipeline soon...?
*****OR.......****
JUST GET A USED 2015 LAND CRUISER and go nuts with existing front bumpers...sliders and lifts that even we US drivers can buy!![]()

I appreciate the honest feedback. Do you drive it daily?Oh boy...
I’ll answer this way...
Best confidence scenario I can think of:
-Given the sudden task of driving to South America alone **tomorrow morning with no prep**...and given the choice between a PERFECT 2 year old, fully-upgraded& built Jeep...and my 11 year old 200?
Strictly on reliability...
-Easy choice of my 11 year old 200, and it would take me no seconds to decide.
I’m not in a Land Cruiser because it’s easy for me to afford. It isn’t. It was a stretch to buy the two LCs I’ve owned and mods require patience and saving. I bought my 100 when it was 3 years old, and my 200 when it was slmost 6 years old. two Land Cruisers 5 years old (200) and 3 years old. We took that 100 EVERYWHERE and never skipped a beat for 200k miles.
I beat this 200 HARD. It’s way heavier than stock and yet its happily running *stock* steering...stock axles...stock engine...stock brakes...stock differentials...stock exhaust system...and on and on. The thing comes from the factory with more strength and durability than anything else at ANY price in my honest and long-legitimized assessment.
I’m frankly not mechanic enough to confidently drive alone to the boonies in anything else.
