As some of you know and for those who don't, I'm moving from Montana to... To.. to... Well I don't know where to yet. Texas first because that's where my dog is at and I do miss my fat chocolate cake.

Anywho! I'm departing Thanksgiving eve or Thanksgiving day and I'm going to Moab as I make my trip south. I know it's a holiday weekend and not expecting much but if you don't have any plans you are welcome to join my buddy Tyler and I for the weekend. Camping or lodging is on you. I'm getting a hotel room. Weather permitting, Top of The World trail is high on the list aswell as Hell's Revenge

Sounds like fun! Wish I was going to Moab again. I need a vacation and some 4x4 time really bad! Thanksgiving though I need to spend time with the kiddos.

Top of the World is pretty cool! The drive up sucks though. It's rough and boring. LOL

I sound like a broken record. Head to SLC, hit the museum. Then swing into San Rafael Swell near Price UT. Camp at the Wedge overlook. Make you way south and near I70 you can hit devils race track and Fix it pas or numerous other trails. Some are just really nice trails to explore. Some can technical.

Thank you for the suggestion. Im pretty sure the museum is closed on Thanksgiving day.

My itinerary is to leave either Nov23 or 24th. And will stay in Layton on Thursday night. Then Friday morning depart Layton for Moab where I'm meeting up with a friend from Cali for 3days of wheeling. Thank you for the continuous recommendation, Im sure it's a great museum but I'm not going to change my plans. After Moab I'll be continuing south making my way to Texas

i think you could head east into Ouray CO area for some cool exploring. it might be all snowed in by then but maybe not. But you can go south from there and into Durango and Albuquerque which is heading the right way for you. Enjoy you trip and post some pictures!
