Kirk - drive is easily doable in a day - about 750 miles...from South OC. I've done the drive into Grand Junction from here a couple of times - 800 miles. Always iron butt it home on Sunday. Try to get out of Moab at 5 or 6 am to beat at least some of the Vegas traffic home. Still sucks when you hit the PRK border and towing a trailer, I'm stuck with the trucks!

I did the drive in October only we went through Zion on the way to Moab. Right now I am planning to Leave SoCal early morning Tuesday and depart early Sunday to head back home. I have Wed daytime free and Saturday all day free for side treks based on the runs I signed up for.

The drive from Zion to Moab sucks in the dark fyi. Poorly light two lane roads in thick deer country.

Bored and just flipped thru the 2013 pics thread - I'm ready to go now!

I know Boyd has signed up as well, but sometimes his getting off early from work is an issue.

Right now, myself, Mark and Kirk for some type of easy drive over perhaps a night in Zion?

I'm in for an overnight in Zion.

If you have a vehicle with no trailer in caravan, it can be your watcher from 1 mile behind. I was 1 mile behind as watcher for our caravan of 2 other with trailers flying aling at 75. I would radio them if a patrol pass me.

I like that! :steer: PITA to be stuck with the truckers in the right lanes. It's only in the PRK. Nevada, Arizona and Utah there are no restrictions on trucks or vehicles towing trailers! I can do what the rest of the caravan is doing w/o worry.

I am so ready to leave.

Got truck aligned and new KM2 MT"s put on last Friday. This Friday took advantage of a $10 oil change coupon at Capo Toyota and went ahead and had them flush and replace 12 quarts of ATF and lube the drive shaft ujoints. Even gave the old girl a bath and wax last weekend. Trailer is always ready to go!

Nice! I am still waiting to get my 100 back so I can wrap up the things I need to do before I leave. I should get it back Wed. With just enough time to break in the diffs properly and have the gear oil changes twice before the trip. I would have had it back early last week, but we found a cv boot that was just starting to fling a little grease from under he band. Rather than reboot, I opted for a new pair of axles from CDan that arrive Monday. The axles were already out for the front diff replacement so I figured I would replace them now for 0 labor.

I plan to finish my M101a3 after CM. I was going to finish it for this CM, but gears and lockers came first.

Any Mudders coming from the Southern California area (Hemet). I'm in need of a rare part (Toyota Stout windshield) picked up in San Jacinto. I'd love to cover some gas $$$ for someone headed up to Cruise Moab that could snag it for me. Let me know!

That would be me Kurt.

My number should be in your system. I will pm it to you. Call me tomorrow am. I live about 20 minutes west of Hemet.

You can make me a sick deal on the Tank based Helton I want you to bring for me. Or maybe the install of a long range auto replacement 150l main tank.

Or both.

I have finish my diff break-in, put my trim packers in and plumb my 2 gallon air tank into my ARB compressor. Then I just need to pack and pickup the parts for Kurt.

Assuming the diff came back together nicely?

Finished up my last prep this AM. picked up the parts for Kurt from Cruiser Outfitters. I only need to pack my cloths load up on firewood and then put me and the kids cloths in the 100. Getting excited!

Another great trip to Moab. Looking forward to next year!
