So I was checking my coolant level today as we are supposed to have below zero temps for the next week or so. The reservoir looked a little low so I grabbed a half full gallon of the Toyota red stuff I used on my 80. Before pouring it noticed the pink color in the reservoir and decided to look it up. So after 2004 you are supposed to use the super long life and not the long life. I could not find any definitive answer on whether or not you can mix the two. At 86k I will be doing timing belt and water pump change so coolant will get flushed anyway. Will it harm anything to top it off with red for another 5k miles?
