Looked under my 1993 yesterday afternoon to try and see why the passenger side dipped down when I applied the breaks. Lo and Behold there is no bolt where the bolt to connect the lower control arm to the frame should be. Does anyone have a part number for the bolt or suggestions for a replacement? Google is generally failing me with finding a replacement bolt. The bushings look ok I think so should I be good to go with just a new bolt?
This is from Partsouq.com They have all three parts in stock. I have ordered from them and many others have without issue, best part of it fast shipping from the Middle East.
There is a proper way to tigthen the bolt too. From Slee's website "Rear bolt on the front control arm. These bolts are removed by loosening the nut." So when tightening down the nut/bolt combo DO NOT let the bolt spin, it has a special feature on the back of it to bite into the metal to keep it from back out on it's self.
That hole needs to be repaired. Get some weld washers and longer bolts, have the washer welded in if you don't have a welder. fix it right the first time. If I remember right, those are 18mm bolts.
The rear lower control arm bolts show on Partsouq as 90105-18006.
What’s your plan to shore up the cracks in the bolt hole? You could cut the mount off a donor vehicle and weld it to your truck? I like @peacesells63 solution better. Much more cost effective and fast.
