I've had several people mention to me that there is some sort of abondoned mine in Ocala that makes a killer wheeling spot with lots of rocks and boulders. However I cannot for the life of me find where it is. I found several YouTube videos as well but none disclose the location. Does anybody know where this might be?

Sounds like a place I'd like to see.

there is one near citrus WMA but ive never been so i couldnt tell you where it is .. its one of those places you have to know someone who knows how to find it.. i worked in inverness for a month and spent time driving around trying to find it with no luck.. if anyone here knows where it is id love to come check it out too.

actually come to think about it @LC60 .... Adrian who had the black grand cherokee a few years ago knows where it is i believe.. i think i saw a video of him there. maybe he can get us directions if you can still contact him

Yes, its definitely a strict word-of-mouth place. It's got some hardcore spots because I know of some rock buggies that have trouble there. I know one guy at advance auto parts that brought it up, so I'll have to head there at some point to see if he knows.

Probably referring to Alpha and Bravo pits... Steve, Al or Bret (or any of the other NFC guys) probably know. Last i heard it’s all gated and tickets were written.

Yup, Alpha and Bravo. Excellent wheeling, can be made into a full weekend with camping. Obstacles such as Knucklebuster, The Vortex and Rock Garden.

Long rumored to be better gated and enforced, but haven't been there for years. Dennis would be the one to ask....

It would be best to delete this thread and take it offline to a more secure discussion place (e.g. like the old NFC site where membership was limited, or dare I say more selective).

Alrighty, is Dennis on mud? I don't think that website is up anymore, is it?

Nice pics, looks wicked! Do you remember at least a general area where one might be able to do some snooping on Google earth. PM me if you want.
