Thought I would post here since the hundys shared the same engine (for the most part)...

This has been around for a while, and I was not able to get any real facts as to what and when was replaced, what oil change interval (we could still calculate averages) and what lubricant was used (was it TGMO, since they insist on it being serviced at the same dealer), any differential maintenance? How about the slider yoke grease :) Any suspension parts went out? Was the owner going by "don't mess with success" and doing just minimal necessary maintenance or did he follow all the upsell guidance?

Anybody close to the dealer or the owner? Mr Victor Sheppard was the owner, and Greg Leblanc Toyota in Mr. Sheppard’s hometown, Houma, La. was the dealer.

[that poor Chief Engineer is not very firm on 'timing chains'..]

I read an article about it when it first occurred I think the trans was replace or maybe just the TCM it is all highway miles the original owner runs some kind of commerical logistics company and used the Tundra as a work truck he followed all regularly scheduled maintenance according to Toyota normal wear items were replaced like suspension components and the like.

If you zoom in on the pic below, you can read the 4.7.

From what i read in some article, the only issue the guy had was around 700k miles; the truck didn't want to go into reverse. Aside from that it was scheduled maintenance. That 4.7 is a great motor.
