Military tires

Odd, the big military tire thread is closed???

Anywho, just saw that TWF recently got a shipment of the Baja's AND MTR's. In case anyone is looking for some military 16.5's.

They only have the Baja's and the MT's .... the military still hasn't mass sold the MTR's yet.


They also jacked up their price of them like crazy.... I bought my MT's for $40 a piece in 09

They had truckload of actual MTR's a couple months ago but never posted them on the site, just on pirate.

I was looking for a spare and was suprised when I saw their current prices too, especially on the Baja's. Got a set of those local new with stickers still on them for $150 a piece!

I'm interested in upgrading to some 37's from my current 35s.
The military tires I've looked at are pretty skinny, so it could help on the fuel side of things, to keep the rolling resistance down.
But, do military tires have a max speed?
I still want to drive at highway speeds but worried these won't keep up.
Any info?

Can anyone tell me if the 11.00R20 Micheline XLZ is still in production? I know there are a bunch of used ones from Army Surplus places so please don't post links just curious if anyone knows if Micheline still produces that size?
