I was walking past the Ole' Motor Pool this AM and happened to walk behind a HUMVEE parked outside. It came to pass that I found myself casting furtive glances at the rear bumper set-up on the HUMVEE. I did some leg work on the "net" to see what kind of price range I could find these bumpers. Looks like somewhere south of a couple "C-notes" will get you one shipped. Now IMHO these would not be a bad option for your serious crawlers, Franken-Rigs or your garden variety behemoths cloaked in Land Cruiser skin. For you big rig drivers there is a serious swing out spare tire load/unload option for these bumpers as well. If you are running big meats this is a great option (I've used it before). Again, IMHO the airlift bumper is the best option. Comes in a short and long version with different recovery options available.....Overkill for me and my hunting rig, but maybe someone out there may find it worth
looking at.

Heavy duty!! I missed those on your rig the 1st go round...Well done! I've been eyeballing a short airlift HUMVEE bumper for adaptation on the ole' Zig. Just about the right size to "MOD" for a rear bumper. I have that "rear sill"issue to deal with before I choose. Brand new rear bumpers sitting on a shelf. What ever I do I want it to be a bolt on affair. Someone on this forum made the following comment: "It's only stock once". That has stuck in my mind. I have every part I've taken off stashed in the garage. .;)

I have these on the back of my ole 80 series, use to be able to get them at Boing surplus sales for $1 a lb(or 1/2 on certain days) place closed down 10 years ago. they rotate 360deg, think these are for 30,000lb...but may be less, came in many sizes

You should put a lock on them. Knowing the military they are American made, probably Crosby, probably 300.00~400.00 each

A buddy gave me a pair of those D rings new in box after a local dealership closed. Very substantial.

Dave is right. If you were going to buy a new set of those you'd be looking at 6 bills. Man I loved Boeing Surplus. Too bad thy shut it down.
