anyone have any experience with this winch? i have read a few reviews on some jeep forums and it seems to perform well.

I had one of those. Blew first solenoid inside of warranty period and had to fight to get them to send me a new one. Blew second solenoid 1 month after warranty. Was told new control box would run from 140ish to 200. Seeing as how that is almost the cost of a whole new winch I gave it to a friend and have not purchased a new one. Am happily using the very old 8274 on the front of my pig.

Well that's not very encouraging. maybe i will just wait for a used warn. do you think your experience was an isolated incident or common with this model winch?
