Please do Georg, my Saginaw pump is not aligned so I would like to compare to an oem setup

Matt, You most likely have the wrong pulley on it.

Your Saginaw may benefit from this pulley:

My Saginaw doesn't have a keyed shaft. I am using a Volvo pulley and mine is actually offset in the forward direction using the jt outfitters bracket. Oh well

Today I installed the new PS pulley (that Georg @orangefj45 sent me) and it looks great and perfectly aligned with the other engine pulleys.

Next step is to remove the fender to remove the old gear box and install the new mounting pedestal and PS gear box.

Good to see how that worked out, and good that Georg willingly worked with you to find the correct solution.

By the way, which part of the great Pacific Northwet do you call home?

Don

Nice work! What is your build date? I noticed you have the side window defrosters, which I think came later in '78.
My '78 has a 09/77 build date.

Pablo, I have a Federal model 12/77 build date and it has the side defrosters...not sure when they started, though.

Wow, I just missed out!
I love my '78, but it was very difficult to add PS to mine, as my block was not tapped for the PS pump bracket like Mike's...

The nickel trick.

I did the penny rebuilt on the relay rod/Pittman arm ball housing, the pennies really didn't work that well so I upgraded to nickels and worked great. Here are a few pics.

Amazing work. Just have to ask, how did you get your air pump looking like that? Was it taken apart and rebuilt? Where did you get the sticker?

Thanks!
I didn't need to rebuild the air pump as it runs perfectly, however, I did clean and paint, the sticker is original and taped it for paint so it looks brand new.

Just got new tires for my rig
