who makes a 37 for a 16 inch wheel besides the trxus? - which would put me out close to 2 grand by the time I got them shipped and installed. I can sell the fzj rims if I go with the h1 wheels and the shipping(~100) should be offset by the fact that I don't have to have them installed.

I drive the truck around 10-15k on the road a year and unfortunately only have been going on a handful of trail rides, none of them hardcore.

I'm glad I'm not the only one in that has many more miles on road than off...

What width are you looking for? I know 37 km2s come in 15 & 17" wheels I assume they come with 16.

sometimes I dd drive it, for now while I am working at home I don't drive much at all. In fact, the honda that I normally drive to Fultondale every day won't even start and once I get it running it will be sold. I take the truck on the road once a week mapping for work and usually do around 200-300 miles that day, mostly highway. That is the main reason I am leaning toward the goodyears. From most reports they wear well on the street and are fairly quiet - I am trying to quiet the truck down a little bit so I can at least hear the phone ring.

The quick converter I used said a 37 12.5 16 is 318/84/16 and I can't find that or a 315 85 16

what springs are you running? Do you have a spacer?

BFG KM2's come in a 37-ish for 16"

Tire rack has that as a 36.4 and it's 311 per tire... Glad I don't plan on going 37. I didnt realize how limited the options were in that size. 16" rim is more common than 15" and 33s are "small" now I thought a 37 16 combo would be very popular.

36.4 is damned close in relation to tires...
300/each ain't bad!
1200 for a set... worth the 200 extra if you ask me.

Maybe if the purpose was max performance offroad.... But he needs a tire to last on road, you will burn through km2s quicker and once you buy the wheels for h1 tires you can pick up the tires for 50-75 a piece on eBay 75%+ tread.

I meant as far as tread wear. they are a harder rubber and will last longer. I don't mean the ride quality or traction will be as good as the softer km2.

since this is the metamucil thread I guess we can find some other crap to talk about but from everything I have read the goodyears should be better than the km2's on road, at least noise wise. I think you were the first person to tell me how loud the km2s are on the road. To be clear I am not talking about the XML' s or the older OZ's with the tread bar down the middle.

Where did you find the KM2's for 300? discount tire has them for 334 with free shipping. add installation and you are in for 1400-1500. With the h1's, after I sell the alloy rims I should be in well under a 1000. Plus they can be replaced for under 100 a tire. I've got a limited truck budget and have some maintenance items that have to be addressed, namely new bushings and adjustable upper control arms. That being said, if a good set of 37's pops up on the local used market I am going to jump on them.
 
you're right, I hated the worn KM2's.
get the military ones. I'd like to see how they do in our area. They may work.

I know, that is what is worrying me. I already feel like I am throwing money out the window with gas prices.
 
Has anyone made an over head shelf for the 80? Something that would attach where the sun visors are and be large enough for a cb cell phone wallet little things like that?
