The PO installed SOR seat covers on my 1980 40 prior to my purchase. He did not re-install the rear (front) seat metal backer plate or the headrests. I have both of the plates and headrests and the are in excellent cond.

Should I just line the plate up and poke around for the holes for the screws. What size are the screws/bolts?

I have reference photo's to assist in rough lining up of the plates. I can't seem to locate a seat recovering thread for a seat with the plates. I would be nice to see a photo of the rear frame of the seat where I'm going to be screwing into.

I'd like to just go for it, but I don't want to screw up the covers by poking around too much looking for the bolt holes.

Thanks for any guidance you can offer.

6mm screws on the seat back itself, sheet metal on the bottom looking up. Place the back tightly in place, probe, you'll find it. No biggy.
