So I picked up my new to me 2005 Gx470. I bought it at Luxury Auto Sport in Tigard. Blizzard Pearlwith gray leather. No Nav or KDSS. 86k for 16.9k. I am super stoked to start the mods and getting advice Here! I'll need to baseline and do the timing belt soon.

Congrats!

Ended driving it around Portland over the Christmas weekend and then home to Wenatchee. Man, the way this thing handles and runs compared to my 80 is incredible! At one point over Satus pass I had to pass four vehicles and I was up to 90 like that....even with 4.88's and 35' I would have needed a 5 mile stretch and a tailwind to do that in my 80:) Very solid rig, the only thing that is driving me crazy is the tpms which I will disarm this week. I had snowy roads from Yakima to my house and it handled them really well.

That is almost exactly what I wish my wife's GX was: '05+ for the higher HP engine, blizzard white, grey interior, no nav, that's my unicorn!

Congratulations on the GX! I got mine over the summer and agree with you about the power, much better tnan my 4runner v6. Really makes me think of selling mine and getting another GX470 and modding it.

Welcome to the lighter side. I still miss my 40 and 80. But appreciate the V8 daily.

I am hoping once I start to get the mods done it will help with the "80 replacement therapy". The comfort, power, and creature comforts are making the transition a little smoother thought:)
