All, before I start this newcomers thread I really have to thank @Sean81 for looping me into the Cruiser life when he was my neighbor. And for all the help wiring up the backup camera and just general advice.

Meet Kanto. A 99 UZJ100W, JDM and former Active Vacation Camping Kit. 76k Km, It is a daily driver and general family adventure truck. We will see in the future if I can turn him into an overland rig. I have had him for a few months now but due to a newborn, work and a general lower level of mechanic ability; have been able to do too much but I’ll list everything below.

Done so far:
•Removed the camping kit sadly to get it registered properly for me. Looking back I wish I could have kept it.
•Upgrade tires to some 285/75r16 all terrains.
•Installed a backup camera and new rear view mirror with the video feed (made a post about the wedge adaptor that I used which is a perfect fit for the OEM bracket)
•oil change because the last one was in 2015 and I bought the car at auction.
• Removed the lower front number trim. Just didn’t like the look with it on there.

Need to do’s:
• Full baseline of fluids, to include AHC. I have the full service records but the last one was in 2015 so I would rather spend some money up front at a dealer and get everything squared away
• While at the dealership have them fix the folding side view mirrors and retractable radio antenna. Mostly just annoying little things but while it’s in.
• Get a second key made since I only have 1 and see if the auto lock/unlock will start working.
• Rewire the cigarette lighter to a USB outlet
• Pre 03 Nav Delete. Might throw in new speakers throughout as well as I have the sub where the left side storage bin is and I would rather the bin than an uncovered sub.
• Add an attic rack for misc storage since I have no 3rd row
• place cargo restraints in the rear for car seat retention strap
• Heater Ts

Some of those are near rocks and some are more seams that eventually will happen and time and money allows.

Overall I have enjoyed the car a lot and can’t wait to see what trouble I can get into with it.

Welcome! Cool non-NA offering! I especially like the factory tire swing and left side license plate assembly.
There's a thread somewhere of a guy who exposed a factory hole on his rig from an accident and I bet that
license plate assembly is the answer for why that hole was there...

Looks like you get some serious snow in your area!
