First great site! I have lurked around the site and decided LC is the way to go! I have found a nice 99 LC and have my money holding it. The newbie guide is very valuable and have used it on the first viewing. I am going to take it to a good mechanic and was wondering any specifics for things that he should check beyond the guide. Any ideas would be appreciated! oh, it does have rear a/c, diff and 104,000 miles. Timing belt and water pump were changed and oil done regularly and records will be provided!

I'm too lazy to look at the newbie guide, but with whatever's in there and a standard vehicle inspection you should be fine. Take the plastic panels off the underside to check for rust. CarFax it.

Good luck, you're heading down the right path.

Welcome to the board.

Sounds like the PO got the correct maintenance done. Some won't catch that the water pump is easy to get to when doing the T-belt.
