You might remember that after wheelin' MOAB last May, I sent Meanie home with Jeremiah Proffitt (www.proffittscruisers.com) for a few upgrades, including:

Engine Swap: Chev. sb 400 for Vortec 350
Orion t-case for Atlas 4.3
Stock Toyota SO axles for Dana 60 front, 14 bolt rear, 35 spline inners/outers
IROC 36" on 15" wheels for IROC 42" on 17"s
Old green paint for new red
Bilstein shocks in the rear for Air Shocks (decided not to go 1/4 elliptic)
Still has ARB front & Detroit rear lockers and is still SOA in the front with hydro assist.
Still has Warn Winch.

Mean should be complete by the end of the week and should be heading back to Texas in time to make a February run to Clayton before Roundup.

Here is the Moab pic of Meanie and a teaser pick of her new rear end. More pics to come.

ps. I still have some parts that are for sale including FIVE almost brand new IROC 39.5's for 17" wheels.

Per Jeremiah P., 4 are almost new (only a couple of trips off road) and 1 is brand spanking new (the spare). I won't know my self until they come back to Texas but I believe they will be in excellent shape.

I bought the Dana 60/14 bolt axles with tires & wheels from Peter Sloop from Steamboat Springs. He wheeled with us at MOAB and owned the Proffitts Cruisers Lime Green custom crawler with 2 1/2 ton axles.

He had a 60 that he had JP fix up with the 1 ton axles and IROC 39.5's that he ended up not liking and went back w/ stock axles under it and just had JP build the big rig. After all the changes with Meanie's upgrades, I ended up going w/ 42's.

Don't worry, I will make you an excellent deal. You have first shot at them Gary. I really appreciate your offer to get Meanie home. Today, I hired Barry from Proffitts Cruisers to haul it to Dallas. He apparently hauls vehicles there quite a bit and it should be here w/i a week or so.

Very nice Russell.

More Tires/Wheels for sale off of old Meanie

I have 5 (1 brand new spare) IROC 36" tires/rockcrawler wheels for sale that came off of Meanie. The 4 used tires have 60% + tread still on them but have been wheeled hard so the wheels are scratched up. Meanie is trailered so it has not seen too much pavement wear. The 15" BLACK ProComp Rock Crawler Steel (4wheel parts.com) are 6-lug and will fit stock axles. They have 2.5" backspacing to give a nice wide stance.

Here are a couple of pretty good pics of the tires/wheels at Moab in May 2006. It was very dusty. I had to reduce the size of the photos to get them to load up. I can send you the large full-size photos if you provide me with your direct email.

$1000 for all 5. The 4 used tires/wheels will be back in Texas next week. I have the new spare in Commerce.
Brand new....$1,200+

I've been thinking of sending my 45 to Proffitt, and noticed that he hasn't posted in a while, so I checked and he hasn't been on here since 3/06, and hasn't been on PBB since 11/05.

Good to see he is still around and doing excellent work.

He told me that he has a 1-year back-log of work now. When he took Meanie in May, he thought he could finish it by the end of summer (August ?). He is very busy.

New Meats & Front Tube Work

IROC 42" on 17" beadlocks. Stayed with spring-over in front with hydraulic assist. Going back with Warn M8274 winch that came off Meanie. She looks a lot like Big Tex's little sister. Meanie will be heading back to Texas tomorrow! More pics to follow.
