Hey,

So today I noticed more people looking at my Safari Snorkel more than ever, lol

Like these five people in a Suburban all peeked over, or the couple in the Mustang!

They all look at it like a joke or like its a weapon!

Anyone else experience this with there snorkels?

I don’t get why people laugh at it sometimes, I actually do take the Lexus with snorkel off-road, lol

Just found it a bit weird today!

Maybe it was because I was driving in a new area, lol

I hate it when people look at it and go, "What that" you can just lip read it, lol

Had to vent, Thanks

Hi

Just to second that some folks do fail to see the idea in offroad equipment, not just snorkels, but cyclone filters, attached sandladders, highlifts, two spares... :grinpimp:

Especially on a vehicle they possibly only could dream of having in their own driveway

I can understand it to some extent - someone never leaves the paved roads and would not dream of it. Why would they consider us to be nothing but playing boys grown larger by the size having just bigger Toy :grinpimp: :grinpimp:

You could opt for some smalltalk - much like if you take a walk with the dog..

I kind of enjoy doing what some just dream of and being different :bounce:

Regards...

Henrik

Tell them it's a periscope, not a snorkel...

Saleh, are you serious? thats funny stuff. I know if i had put the snorkel on 3 years ago instead of my K&N Intake, i would have gotten stares from people with LX470s at the light EVERY day. i already get people staring at me and all i have is clear corners, dark tint and chrome wheels. They look at it trying to figure out, which option i ordered at the dealership. I rarely see people around here that know anything about their LC/LX. For the majority its all soccer moms who didnt want a minivan, got the LC/LX.

I actually saw a guy the other week talking to his buddy, while waiting to cross the street, about my truck. They had just gotten out of their landcruiser and i saw them pointing and talking. I smiled and when the light turned green, i let er rip. You should have seen the guys eyes open up in amazement as i roared down the road.
