River Rock Mica/tan interior | 283,000 miles | $7,900

The time has come to part with my beloved 2001 Land Cruiser. I grew up in this truck; it’s been in my family for over a decade. It has been enjoyed, driven a lot, and used off-road, but I have done my best to take good care of it and keep it running well. We’ve driven all over the country and even made the cover of Toyota Trails magazine together (I have an extra copy for the buyer). Here are the highlights:
  • 283,xxx miles
  • In family since 2012/140k miles, with service records during that time and a few from before
  • River Rock Mica/tan interior
  • Ironman Foam Cell Pro 2” lift with diff drop and medium springs
  • ARB front bumper
  • Coastal Offroad rock sliders (welded on)
  • 285/75r16 Falken Wildpeak AT3 with decent tread left, new General Grabber AT full-size spare
  • Custom built, very sturdy drawer system
  • Taillight bulbs and license plate lights replaced with LED
Maintenance history includes:
  • freshly done timing belt + water pump (Aisin via Cruiser Outfitters), also replaced radiator (Koyorad), thermostat (OEM), coolant (OEM), fan bracket (Aisin), all pulley bearings (Koyo/OEM), and heater tees (OEM) at the same time
  • All diff/transfer case oil changed at 275k
  • New 555 ball joints (all 4) at 261k
  • New Denso iridium spark plugs + coil boots at 254k
  • Brake rotors, pads, new rear calipers, and fluid at 247k
  • Front wheel bearing service at 247k
  • Denso reman alternator at 225k
  • Documented oil changes (Mobil1 extended performance synthetic) with Blackstone oil reports
The not-so-good:
  • Body rust at rear corners of rockers
  • Some rust on frame (structurally sound, NO soft spots/rot/rusting through)
  • A few trail bumps, scrapes, and scratches on body, wheels, and undercarriage
  • Bashed fuel tank skid, does not affect tank
  • Bent lower links and frame brackets (brand new OEM frame brackets and straight [used] links included!)
  • Slightly leaky valve covers (no oil level drop)
  • Leaky power steering reservoir
  • Small crack in bottom of windshield, not in field of view and repaired with rain-X resin
  • Only driver’s door speaker works (front 2 were replaced a couple years ago, but passenger stopped working recently)
  • Rusty exhaust has a couple pinhole leaks
  • May need new battery
Overall, this is a great truck with a long life still ahead of it. I intended to keep it forever and maintained it with that in mind. I've done my best to be transparent about its condition and what needs attention, and will be happy to answer any questions you might have, or take more photos. I'm asking $7,900. I would love for this truck to be enjoyed and taken care of by someone who loves cruisers as much as I do. Drop me a line!
