It's about that time....

No "required" items, but it's heavily recommended that you bring a dinner item or a dessert. As always we will have side dishes a plenty.

Dinner:

Dessert:

Side-Dish:

3 bean salad as usual.:D If I get my reg in on time.

So..... what's your point Ebag?

Russ is bring some yummy salad

Next course.

So there's no set number??? That's good, I'd rather not have to cut it off, but if we ever get over 50 I think we'll need to think about it...

Um....I think we're well on the way for 50 this year....

But yeah. We're going to have to look at how full Sourdough is and maybe set a limit for next year.

So..... what's your point Ebag?

To which comment? The one where I was poking fun at Russ? Or asking what people are planning to bring to the potluck so we can perhaps organize it a bit better?

So as for food, I haven't decided yet but probably cobbler. As for the vehicle limit...well I think that's kinda lame. In all the times I've been to SD I've never seen anyone have to camp even as far as the upper camp so I think it would take far more than fifty rigs to fill it up. Let's worry about that bridge if we ever have over 100... not holding my breath.

I got the meatballs covered.

I don't want to limit it either, we'll just have to see how this run goes and decide. I like smaller runs, it keeps things simple, and accessible to people who are first timers, or not fully immersed in the Off Road world...

The first event I went to was SNT '04, and I didn't know anyone, and it was already a big event, and I was not really into putting myself out there like that (with a bunch of crazy Toyota people...). Obviously it worked out fine, but it takes a bigger leap of faith to dive into a larger event...

Carry on, nothing to see here.... :D

Mmm....cobbler....

Well, last year Sourdough felt comfortably full to me. There was just enough room around the bonfire to fit everyone comfortably.

I have no doubt we're going to exceed last years numbers (speaking of which, does anyone know the exact numbers from last year?). That's not a bad thing IMHO, but it will make for more cramped camping and a little less elbow room around the campfire.

As for 100 rigs....that could easily translate into 300+ people. That'd be a lot. Sure we're not there yet, and there is plenty of room (worst case scenario some people camp at that other campground not far away) but as J said, smaller runs have their own advantages. I really doubt we're going to have to limit this years run unless we get a crazy flood of registrations, but next year we may want to put a cap on it. Either way we'll burn that bridge when we come to it.

Not to hijack or re-direct, but when is reg deadline?

July 7th.

If you register after that I have no problem with it, but make no guarantee that you will receive any shirts or hoodies. (We have not ordered any as of yet.)
