LOL, and here I thought based on the ad it was just No Refunds after the 7th. silly me.

Well...if someone wants to register the day of the run I don't have too much trouble with it. Just provided they have the cash and don't expect t-shirt/hoodie/schwag....

Suppose we should clarify that huh?

I think we said the 1st so that people would get their stuff in... and we'd get the shirts ordered around the 7th... but don't tell everyone that... or they will all wait! :D

I suggested the 1st originally. Someone who's initials are 2ndGenToyotaFan wanted it pushed back to the 7th.

Or at least that's the way I recall it. :flipoff2:

It doesn't really matter as long as they give us their money. Maybe we can even charge 'em a late fee. :hmm:

(And before anyone freaks out, that's a joke.)

Hey all...

Jeff can confirm, but technically you can run 75 with no permit. We permit to help show organized usage.

I suggest you factor in a Late %, additional shirts and such for your late registrations, and there will always be some, to many late and last minute regs. It's human nature for cruiserheads to wait till the last minute both registrations and truck preparation. :) (Look at Russ right here). Suggest 20 - 25% which usually go between your late arrivals and your errant "oops, can I have a Large', and your Got any extra shirts?

Obviously you're not going to turn away anyone's money.

Pot Luck?! Yum! I'm bringing Margaritas. (traveling light)

Actually, I think it's a technicality on the 'permit'. Any commercial enterprise, regardless of size, or any large gathering of folks that has the potential to cause environmental mitigation, under NEPA, requires a permit. Because we take money for shirts, plaques, etc., I think the FS can say we need one for 10 or 200 rigs. The 75 number is what we came up with to cap the size of the run to maintain small flavor and what I always indicated was the maximum we would have when I submitted for the permit.

That being said, the trail is always open to anyone as a FS route and if coincidentaly 10 - 200 rigs just happened to be on the trail at one time, one could argue lack of permit. But, as Tony said, we do the permit to show organized use to keep the route open.

Thank you for clarifying Jeff :D

And yes we definitely don't want this event to get too big, too many people would change the feel. I don't think that will be an issue this year though and since it is the tenth anniversary I think it will be bigger than usual.

Da, of course members pay. We make up about 1/4th to 1/3rd of the group, plus it gives us $$$ into the pot for expenses!!

I will be bringing Hot Chicken balls. Apparently these are delicious and very hot/spicey due to the 3 habenerjo peppers that get cooked into the chicken balls.
